Help with international calls failing
02/07/10 3:28 PM

Hello all.
Please help with this issue. I can't find anything in documentation/web searches to guide me in the right direction.

The issue is international calls aren’t completing. The (PRI) carrier, TelePacific says it is because the calls are tagged as international and I am also sending them 011.

Preferred/Exclusive Exclusive
D Channel Indicator Not D Channel
Channel Selection As Indicated
83 Coding Standard CCITT
Coding Type Number
Channel Type B Channel
82 Channel Number 2
I 70 Called Party Number Length = 16
91 Type of Number International Number
Numbering Plan ISDN/Telephony E.164/E.163
Number 011522224775877

When TelePacific sees International they add 011 to the called party digits (011 011522224775877) and the call fails. They said if the call is designated as international, I need to not send 011 with the digit string.

I tried sending the calls to a new route list that absorbs 4 digits (522224775877) but then TelePacific sees unknown instead of international and the calls fail.

Is there somewhere in the Sx200 programming I can change the 011 call type from international to national?

Thank you

To anyone interested... this turned out to be a Mitel issue. The PRI was not configured correctly. It was set to DMS100 instead of NI2.

A Mitel tech had to come out to site and perform IMAT programming on the PRI card to change the settings.
